Trained both in history of science and technology and in electrical engineering, Chen-Pang Yeang has taught at the Institute for the History and Philosophy of Science and Technology (IHPST), University of Toronto since 2006.  He has published a book with the University of Chicago Press (Probing the Sky with Radio Waves, 2013), and articles in journals in history of science and technology (ISIS, Technology and Cultures, HSNS, Annals for the History of Science, Archives for the History of Exact Sciences, etc.), and in electrical engineering (IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, Journal of Optical Society of America, etc.)  He has received awards, fellowships, or grants from the Dibner Institute for the History of Science and Technology, Institute for Advanced Study Princeton, Max Planck Institute for the History of Science, IEEE, Canadian Social Science and Humanities Research Council, Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation, and Taiwan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
