鍾孝文教授主要研究領域為醫用磁振造影(MRI)之技術發展,其中以中樞神經系統為應用方向主軸。目前積極進行中之研究項目包括:(一)平衡穩定態磁振造影之功能性神經系統影像技術與臨床應用;(二)螺旋槳式平行面迴訊擴散影像擷取技術;(三)動態對比劑注射之磁振造影用於小兒先天性栓塞心臟病患手術後之肺灌流功能評估;與(四)以磁振造影技術同步量測聚焦式超音波燒灼之溫度與蛋白質變性變化。 主要研究合作對象均為國內大型醫學中心,包括三軍總醫院(計畫一、二)、高雄榮民總醫院(計畫三)、以及台大醫院(計畫二、四)。

Research Summary:

The major research focus of Professor Hsiao-Wen Chung's research team is in the technical developments related to clinical magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), with special emphasis on, but not limited to, neural applications. The topics under active investigations at the time of writing include: (1) Balanced steady-state free precession MR imaging techniques for functional neural imaging; (2) Propeller echo-planar diffusion imaging technique with parallel acquisition; (3) Evaluation of pulmonary perfusion deficits on pediatric patients with congenital heart diseases after surgical correction using dynamic contrast-enhanced MR imaging; and (4) Simultaneous monitoring of temperature variation and protein denaturation via MRI for evaluation of treatment effectiveness of high intensity focused ultrasound. Research collaborators consist of major domestic medical centers, including Tri-Service General Hospital (projects 1, 2), Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital (project 3), and National Taiwan University Hospital (projects 2, 4).
