The EE department is located in the building number 84 marked by a big red circle on the map (click on the map for a larger version). The red lines with arrows are to indicate the walking directions from either the TRTC station or the nearby parking lot. Detailed information about accessing the department is provided below as well. Getting To The Department From the KungKuan TRTC Station

  1. Get off at the KungKuan station on the Green Line (a.k.a. the Shin-Den Line).
  2. Take the exit (EXIT 2) to Choushan Rd.
  3. Upon exiting the station, take a left on the Roosevelt Rd.
  4. Take a left on the Choushan Rd.
  5. Continue for about 10 minutes walk, make another left on the little path behind the NTU Library (building 40 on the map).
  6. The first building you walk into is the EE department (building 84 on the map).

Getting To The Department From the Technology Building TRTC Station

  1. Get off at the Technology Building station on the Brown Line (a.k.a. the Taipei-zoo Line).
  2. Walk the direction towards gate A3.
  3. Walk the direction towards The Language Training and Testing Center (building 15).
  4. Make a left when running into The Language Training and Testing Center (building 15).
  5. The EE building (building 84) is right on the left when the road ends.

From the Shin-Hai Rd. Parking Lot

  1. Enter the campus from gate A3.
  2. Park the car in the parking lot (marked P).
  3. Walk the direction towards The Language Training and Testing Center (building 15).
  4. Make a left when running into The Language Training and Testing Center (building 15).
  5. The EE building (building 84) is right on the left when the road ends.

Getting To The University By TRTC

The TRTC is perhaps the most economical way to travel within the Taipei city. There are automatic ticketing machines available at every station with English instruction. In case you need additional assistance, the information booths are usually located closely to the gates.

The NTU main campus is reachable via the Green Line (a.k.a. the Shin-Den Line). You want to be careful not to get on the Yellow Line which uses often the same platform but going in a slightly different direction. The KungKuan station is on the southwestern edge of the campus. From the Taipei Main Station, the fair is NT20 and the travel time about 10 minutes one way.

By Taxi

For travelers with heavy load, taxi is the recommended way of transportation. The easiest way to communicate with the taxi drivers about your destination, the NTU EE building, is to show them a printout of the following picture -- a jpg file showing the Chinese equivalent of 'Take me to the National Taiwan University, Electrical Engineering Department, Please'
