Application Requirements:

A complete application must include the followings and please arrange in the order according to the “check list”:

  1. Chick list, four completed application forms, and declaration form. Download
  2. Authorization form. Download
  3. Two photocopies of the verified official diploma and the translation of the original diploma if the diploma is not in English or Chinese..
  4. Two copies of the verified original transcripts and the translation of the original transcripts if the original transcript is not in English or Chinese..
  5. Study plan. (Please use a separate paper and write a statement in Chinese or English, stating your motives and plans for study at NTUEE.)
  6. Two letters of recommendation, one of which should be from someone who can appraise the applicant’s Chinese or English language proficiency.
  7. Financial statement. (Bank deposit document and so forth.)
  8. A foreign national citizen with a former ROC citizenship must attach the certificate of the loss of the nationality of the Republic of China.
  9. Contributory information, e.g., thesis, honors, awards, published papers, etc.
  10. TOEFL: applicants in this program are required to have a total score of at least 213.

Additional Regulations:

  1. Before applying, applicants should consult the websites for regulations, degree requirements, and other general program information. Admitted applicants must comply with these regulations prior to registration.
  2. Each academic year begins on August 1 and ends on July 31 of the following year.First semester classes usually begin in mid-September, and second semester classes begin in mid- or late February of the following year.
  3. Violation of the admission rules, including falsification and forgery of documents (diploma, working experience, certification of seniority), will result in revocation of admission, loss of status as a registered student at National Taiwan University, and potential legal consequences. If discovered after graduation, the diploma will be revoked and the degree annulled through official announcement.
  4. After entering the program, students may not apply for transfer to general graduate or other R&D Master’s programs.
  5. Admission to the program cannot be deferred. After entering the program, students cannot apply for leave of absence without justification and permission.
  6. Applicants who fail to meet the admission requirements will be denied.
