研究領域摘要:

1. 光電元件之電磁模擬:

包括分析半導體光放大器之非線性耦合效應、半導體雷射之碰撞脈波鎖模機制、半導體非線性光環鏡之操作效能、光纖光柵內之模態耦合效應、光波在光子晶體內之傳播特性、金屬奈米結構中的表面電漿子效應。

 

2. 生物組織光學成像之模擬:

包括解析骨骼肌之光學影像之極化效應、以Monte Carlo法模擬光波在紊亂媒質中之散射現象。


Research Summary:

1. Electromagnetic simulation of electro-optical devices:

    Including analyses of the nonlinear coupling effect in semiconductor optical amplifiers, the colliding-pulse mode-locking mechanism for semiconductor lasers, the performance of semiconductor nonlinear optical loop mirrors, the mode coupling effects in fiber gratings, propagation characteristics of photonic crystals, the surface plasmon effects in metallic nanostructures.

 

2. Simulation on optical imaging of biological tissues:

    Including analyses of polarization effects in optical imaging of skeletal muscle tissues, light scattering in turbid media by Monte Carlo method.
