Yi-Cheng Lin (林怡成) received his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1997. From 1997 to 2003, he was with Qualcomm Inc., San Diego, California, where he involved in the research and development of advanced antenna technologies for modern wireless communication systems with satellite and terrestrial applications.
In 2003, Dr. Lin joined the faculty of the Department of Electrical Engineering and the Graduate Institute of Communication Engineering, National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan. Since then, he has participated in several multi-faculty projects responsible for the design and implementation of millimeter-wave antennas with the front-end transceiver module and packaging. His research interests cover the antenna theory, design, and applications for various wireless applications. Recently, his active research topics include the EBG antenna with metamaterial, miniature MIMO antennas, UWB and multiband antennas, and broadband circularly polarized antennas.
