Chiara Labanti is originally from Italy, where she completed a Bachelor’s degree in Physics in 2016 and a Master’s degree in Solid State Physics in 2018 from the University of Bologna.
She then moved to the United Kingdom to join the Centre for Processable Electronics, receiving both a Master of Research in Plastics Electronics (2018) and a PhD degree in 2023, working in the lab of Prof Ji-Seon Kim in collaboration with Samsung Electronics.
She worked as a Research Scientist in Cambridge Display Technology Ltd (UK) for the development of advanced organic materials for infrared photodetectors, before joining NTU in 2025 as Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and GIPO.
